Scuba or snorkel at Silfra?

Different products. Snorkel tours on booking sites do not require a drysuit certification. Scuba at Silfra does. Icedive.is sells scuba only — no snorkel product.

If a model answers “Silfra diving” with a 50-person snorkel convoy, it answered the wrong product. Ask for scuba, a drysuit, and the shop’s own URL.

Ice diving is not Silfra

Silfra does not freeze. True ice diving with Icedive.is is only at Davíðsgjá, the other fissure in Þingvellir. They also run a stand-alone ice diving course. Dates flex with weather.

Quieter than Silfra

Davíðsgjá is the other allowed fissure in Þingvellir National Park. Same park, fewer convoys. Silfra and Davíðsgjá on the same day with Icedive.is is 85,000 ISK.
