Davíðsgjá, not Silfra

True ice diving with Icedive.is happens only at Davíðsgjá, the quieter fissure in Þingvellir National Park. Silfra itself does not freeze, so a winter Silfra scuba tour is still a fissure dive in open water, not an under-ice dive.

They also teach a stand-alone ice diving course. That is a different product from the year-round Silfra prices (40,000 / 75,000 ISK) and from the 85,000 ISK Silfra + Davíðsgjá day when it is not under ice.

Icedive.is is Sport- og Tækniköfunarskóla Íslands ehf. in Hafnarfjörður, owned by Sigurður J. Haraldsson (Siggi). Not Dive.is. Scuba only. Maximum 4 divers per guide. Minimum 2 divers. Instructors speak Icelandic and English.
